Introduction
Sudoku, dubbed as the hottest puzzle sensation since the Rubik™s Cube gained worldwide popularity in early 2005. Cognizance in association with Logic Masters India, invites you to test your logical skills in the Cognizance Sudoku Challenge
The sudoku-solving skills of contestants will be tested through the regular Classic sudokus as well as different sudoku variations. Please go through the instruction booklet which is available for download to get familiar with the rules for solving each of the sudokus.
Rules and Regulations
Cognizance Sudoku Challenge will consist of a preliminary round on 27th March to select the top 60 participants for the finals. The finals for these 60 participants will be held on 28th March 2010.
Elimination Round, 27th March 2010
The first round will consist of a test for 60 minutes. Ranking for top 60 will be done on the basis of total score. Ties will be broken using the following rules in order:
Earliest time stamp
Fewest numbers of incorrect answers (blank answers are ignored)
Preliminary round, 28th March 2010 The preliminary round will consist of a single test for 60 minutes parts for testing various aspects of the Sudoku-solving skills of participants.
Finals, 28th March 2010
The finals will consist of the top 4 participants from the preliminary round. The top 4 will play off in the finals to select the winner of the championship.
